A new project has launched in Somerset to help 500 people not in work to get fit.
If you live in Chard, Highbridge or Glastonbury and are over 18 years-old and out of work, this may be just the thing to help you feel better and more empowered on your journey to employment.
You can find out much more, and how to get involved, by clicking on the link at the bottom of this page but before you do, why not say hi to the team who’ll be delivering Engage Somerset for Pluss.
We’ve been along to meet the team, and hear about the hundreds of Fitbits they have to give away to anyone joining them.

Residents in the three Somerset towns of Chard, Highbridge and Glastonbury, will be the first to benefit from this new wellbeing initiative funded by the UK Community Renewal Fund and delivered by health and wellbeing specialists, Pluss.
The funding has been awarded by the UK Government and will be administered by Somerset County Council. The project, called Engage Somerset, aims to help 500 people currently not in work, to become more physically active and equip them with the skills they need to move closer to employment.
The project will run from January to the end of June 2022 and involves partnerships with Pluss, SPARK Somerset, Somerset Activity and Sports Partnership (SASP) and digital specialists, Cosmic.
