Health Works for Cornwall attend Inclusive Careers Festival
On Wednesday 4 May, 2022, the Pluss Health Works for Cornwall LDD team took part in the My Skills, My Future – inclusive careers festival at the Royal Cornwall Showground, near Wadebridge.
The event, organised by the Careers and Enterprise Company and the Cornwall Careers Hub, is aimed at 14- to 25-year-olds who are looking to take their next steps in life and require some support due to disability or neurodiversity.

Local colleges, training providers and not for profits were in attendance, offering support across Cornwall, as well as employers committed to disability inclusion.
Pluss Health Works for Cornwall had an information stand in the main Pavilion and two fun, interactive workshops running throughout, in a room off the main hall. A sea-glass jewellery making area and a Manga art session were both hugely popular with the young people, with both areas extremely busy throughout the event.
One young lad told a specialist change coach; “It has been the best day of my life, I have met a storm trooper and now I’m doing some Manga drawing!”
It was a fabulous day, lots of good contacts made and dozens of young people, teachers and parents were spoken to.
