The Building Better Opportunities programme that we deliver through Pluss is called Positive People in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset and Hopeful Families in West Yorkshire.

We seek to help anyone who is 18 years or older (over 25 in Devon) and is not currently in work.  There is a range of support available, and it is not just about helping people back into employment.

Positive People and Hopeful Families exist to help people who may have been away from the job market for some time. The transition back into employment can be a big step. We are here to help you to take smaller steps, towards the job market.

Everyone is different. Many people will have goals and aspirations, often with barriers that are preventing them from moving forward. For some this could mean being supported with a suitable training course and taking part in some CV writing and interview workshops. Others may have had to manage a mental health condition and need to rebuild their confidence. Being with other people, in a group environment is a huge challenge for them. We can help with all these things and more.

Whether you are a mum or dad who has been raising kids, or you have been caring for a family member and are starting to think about your future. Whatever the reason for not being in paid employment, we can help you.

The first step is to get in touch to see what your options are. You can also visit to see lots of stories about people who have been helped on the Positive People and Hopeful Families programmes.
