As of 19th July 2022, the UK Government had issued 162,000 Ukrainian visas out of 194,700 applications received, and 99,700 visa holders had arrived in the UK.
The Pluss’ Positive People teams in Cornwall are currently offering support to Ukrainians living in the county and we went along to one of the drop in sessions, in Cawsand on the Rame Peninsula, to find out more.
Positive People Cornwall, Cornwall Neighbourhoods For Change (CN4C) and Cornwall Marine Network were all there to offer their support and guidance and to try to gain the trust of our visitors, many of whom, understandably, were a little cautious and guarded.
