The Pluss Engage Somerset project draws to a close at the end of September 2022.
What started out as a six month scheme, covering the three towns of Chard, Glastonbury and Highbridge, was extended for an extra couple of months and is now on track to leave an amazing legacy.
When we went along to meet some of the Highbridge participants, one in particular wanted to express her thanks for the time she has spent with Engage Somerset, especially working with her Coach, Claire.
So we sat down together, and Kerry-Ann explained why she felt so emotional about the project coming to an end.
When Kerry Ann first joined the Engage Somerset project, her social anxiety was overwhelming. She would not leave the house for anything more than very short periods at a time.
Working with Claire, her confidence has built so much that she can now attend coffee mornings and sit chatting with other people.
She has even found the courage to sit in front of a camera and explain how things have changed...
