Here at Pluss, we provide a variety of ways to help support people’s health and wellbeing; as you will see if you take a look at all the different classes, courses and activities on our EVENTS PAGE.
The team at Pluss’ Health Works for Cornwall has recently added a new Digital Wellbeing Walk at Heartlands to their itinerary, where participants use the Pokémon Go App and complete a walk for wellbeing while catching numerous Pokémon along the way.
Specialist Change Coach at Pluss’ Health Works for Cornwall, Emily, took some photos of a recent walk and told us how the activity can benefit participants: “They used effective communication skills to alert each other where they could find the best ones and demonstrated fantastic teamwork and problem-solving skills throughout,” she said.
Adding: “One participant told me – ‘I’ve been struggling a bit lately and I’ve been letting myself become worried about the news, this is exactly what I needed. I’d forgotten how much fun it is to be outdoors catching Pokémon’ – it’s comments like that which prove how beneficial these sort of events can be.”
Take a look at some of Emily’s photos from the day and find out more about the variety of different events and activities Pluss offers by clicking on the links at the bottom of this page.
Health Works for Cornwall is part funded by the European Social Fund. To fulfil our funding remit, these fully-funded sessions are available to individuals who are 16+, currently unemployed and looking to improve either their physical or mental health.
